Tower systems / Ground Support
For stage construction or large spans
Whether for exhibition stands, concert stages, fashion shows, exhibitions, presentations, live concerts, canopies, LED walls or mobile industrial lifting devices – Naxpro-Truss tower systems facilitate the quick and uncomplicated implementation of all these and many other projects, providing flexible solutions for creating a backdrop in complete accordance with your ideas, regardless of whether your event takes place indoors or outdoors. Depending on the requirements, there are various structural options, e.g., FD/HD/TD 34 or FD/HD/TD 44. A single tower consists of the actual truss mast (tower), hinge parts for erection, a steel base with spindle feet for secure fixing, the transport carriage (sleeve block) and a head section with pulleys.
A ground support is an aluminium structure made of trusses. This is a frame, with supports, that can be erected with an elevated hoist. The hoist is lifted manually with winches/manual chain hoists or motorised with chain hoists or wire rope hoists. Event technicians, in particular, but also many other organisers of events, trade fairs or exhibitions, can no longer do without this practical aid.
Flexible assembly – without ladders and scaffolding
Truss systems can be mounted in such a way that they are suspended from chain hoists, for example, or stand on the ground. Tripods, lifts or vertical trusses can be used for this purpose. If the horizontal truss system can be raised on vertical trusses, this construction is called a "ground support system".
What is a ground support tower used for?
As a stand-alone unit, the ground support tower is ideal for raising horizontal truss constructions, rigs and stage roofs, of small to medium size with an average load, safely and quickly to operating height. A ground support tower consists of individual elements such as the base, the expansion elements, the hinge element and a sleeve block. If the tower is not connected to others (as a complete ground support system), plug-in feet or outriggers can be used to increase stability. The ground support tower also includes hinges for setting up the foot vertically. The most important component is certainly the sleeve block, which is moved up and down with the help of chain hoists or cable winches and which functions similarly to a load carriage. Four individual truss towers are connected with four-point trusses to form a stable ground support. There are many possible applications for the truss tower and ground support, ranging from exhibition stand construction and stage construction to custom truss construction in event technology.
