Each wood type has its own sound

Anyone in the market for a new drum kit should pay particular attention to the materials used. Each wood type has its own characteristic sound, featuring numerous high or bass notes. Maple shell toms produce soft, warm sounds; lower frequencies are emphasized and higher sounds are rendered with balance. The fast-growing poplar, which displays excellent sound properties, is a low-cost alternative for the more expensive wood types. In addition to the wood type, the number of wood layers also plays an important role in the sound of the drum. The more layers in the skin of the drum, the more volume it has for a powerful sound.

Drum kits for kids

Our 3-piece drum kits for kids consist of a bass drum, a snare drum, hi hats, a hanging tom and a set of cymbals. All metal parts are chrome-plated and the 6-layer wood tom comes with a plastic finish. The affordable drum kits for kids are available in red and blue. The 5-piece drum kits for kids come with an additional 3-piece cymbals set.
