Permanent installations require flexible, versatile system solutions with a discreet design that blends unobtrusively into the installation environment. They must enable the connection and control of various feed sources, as well as offer the option of transmitting announcements or emergency calls and muting non-priority signals during such events.

The PRE ST 1 is a multifunctional 4-channel stereo mixer/preamplifier that allows two microphone/line signal sources, the emergency line input signal for emergency calls/announcements and one of three available music sources, including a Bluetooth receiver, to be mixed. Together with the four-stage priority contact switching, which combines the corresponding inputs (normally open contacts) with VOX ("Voice Operated Exchange") circuits for audio signal detection, the versatile mixer/preamplifier offers the best conditions for integration into a wide range of fixed sound reinforcement systems.

The PRE ST 1 has two priority contacts: one for the emergency input, which mutes all other signal sources when activated, and one for the microphone inputs, which only mutes the music sources. The balanced stereo line output is also equipped with a mono/stereo switch and separate tone controls for bass and treble. In addition, an automatic standby mode can be activated to further reduce energy consumption when the device is not in use.

The intuitive layout of the user interface, with volume controls for input signals and overall volume, clear signal level indicators and priority switching and practical capacitive buttons for selecting the music source and pairing Bluetooth ensure that the PRE ST 1 is always easy to use. Installation is also made easy thanks to the well-thought-out arrangement of the elements on the rear panel and the compact 9.5" format.
