Breathtakingly clear sound quality
Performances will sound better than ever with the DJM-A9, which takes the audio quality known from the DJM-900NXS2 to a new level.

This next-generation club sound is the result of extensive development and fine-tuning of existing technologies from previous devices as well as brand new components. The channel input section offers crystal clear, high-resolution sound with a high-quality 32-bit A/D converter from ESS Technology. The master and booth output sections use the same brand of high-quality 32-bit D/A converters, so you can experience the same sound on the booth monitors as the audience on the dance floor hears. Even the sound quality of the microphone input and headphone outputs has been further enhanced through carefully selected new components and design optimization.

Even better to play
The DJM-A9 offers a playing feel like a musical instrument. The familiar layout of the DJM series is complemented by revised controls and components, allowing for precise mixing and instinctive scratching.

The increased spacing between the EQ controls gives your fingers the freedom they need, and the high-quality, bright LEDs in the channel section make it easier than ever to see levels. Thanks to the frequency response of the isolators, which have been optimized for current music production, dynamic performances succeed in no time at all. The high-quality channel faders, which are even smoother than the DJM-900NXS2, and the third-generation MAGVEL FADER crossfader make silky-smooth mixing and fast, reliable scratching child's play.

World premiere: Sound Color FX with center lock
If you activate the brand new center lock function of the Sound Color FX, each control stops when it reaches the middle position. It allows you to turn the knob as fast as you like, adjusting the effect to the maximum of the Hi parameter or the minimum of the Low parameter, without accidentally going to the opposite parameter. With Center Lock disabled, the Sound Color FX controls work the same as those on the DJM-900NXS2.

Newly developed Beat FX
The Beat FX section, a very popular feature of the DJM series for many years, has been significantly improved for the DJM-A9. A new color display helps to quickly and accurately see the status of the selected effect. It offers lighting that matches the horizontal layout of the X-Pad, allowing for more intuitive control with a simple finger swipe. The X-Pad can be used to manipulate the Echo and Ping Pong effects to create a unique analog band-like sound. Among the total of 14 beat effects, there are three new ones that you can use to add additional variations to your performances:

Mobius: Changes the frequency of the oscillator so that it constantly increases or decreases in time with the beat.
Triplet Filter: Cyclically changes the filter's cut-off frequency depending on the beat (based on three beats).
Triplet Roll: Plays the recorded sound repeatedly according to the specified measure (based on three beats).
Even better, the channel selector is now a dedicated button, so you can quickly apply effects to the selected channel.

Improved microphone section
As microphones become more and more important for DJs - for example for live streams and club sets - the microphone section of the DJM-A9 has been revised. This now allows more control and creativity for every performance. Thanks to the phantom power, high-quality condenser microphones can also be connected directly to the DJM-A9 - a function that has never been seen before in a DJ mixer. There are also three new microphone effects, including a special reverb effect to change the sound of a voice and really heat up the audience with vocals:

Echo Repeats a delay sound and attenuates it to create an echo effect.
Pitch: Changes the pitch of the microphone signal.
Megaphone: Emulates the sound of a megaphone.
With the brand new push-to-talk button, the microphone input is switched on and off directly if you want to speak to the audience with the microphone. The microphone signal can be excluded from the recording output if desired. This makes it possible to moderate for the live audience but record the mix without vocals.

Extended connectivity
Two different PCs/Macs can be connected at the same time via the USB Type-B and USB Type-C ports (two each). Ideal for seamless DJ handovers or mixing in pairs. The Bluetooth2 input allows tracks from other devices, such as B. smartphones, wirelessly to the mixer. It can be routed to any channel of the DJM. The audio tracks can then be easily integrated into a set in the mixer and with all the functions 

and effects can be edited. There is an independent channel selector switch in the multi I/O section, so that external effects can be used separately from beat FX. This gives the DJM-A9 a real send option to route a sound processed with external effects such as an RMX-1000 or a delay pedal to a separate channel instead of the original channel.

Two independent headphone outputs and booth EQ
The DJM-A9 offers two headphone jacks, each with their own cue buttons, volume controls and mix balance controls. This means that two DJs can listen to the desired channels at the same time. This makes DJ handovers or mixing for two child's play. A 2-band booth EQ allows treble and bass tweaks to complement the sound of the master output, matching the feel of the booth to that of the dance floor.

Support for the brand new Stagehand app and integrated sound check function
The DJM-A9 is compatible with Stagehand, the industry's first PRO DJ LINK remote management app for front-of-house teams. For example, with an iPad wirelessly connected to the mixer via a LAN router (sold separately), a sound engineer can see the level meters and how a DJ is using the mixer controls. This makes it easier to optimally set up the PA system - without disturbing DJs during their performance or entering the booth. This ensures smooth and impressive shows. The Stagehand app is available for download in the App Store.

Support for rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro: The DJM-A9 works with various DJ software and also supports the DVS functions of rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro1.
Reliable recordings with the DJM-REC app: Using the DJM-REC for iOS/Android, you can easily record complete performances. This handy app allows mixes to be shared on platforms like Mixcloud and streamed in real time on services like Twitch.
Lockable power cord: fear no more! The lockable power cord ensures security because it always stays firmly in place, even if you get on the cable when connecting other devices.
Supports video and lighting apps: The DJM-A9 supports the free app PRO DJ LINK Bridge in addition to ShowKontrol from TC Supply. With it, DJs, event producers, lighting designers, LJs, video producers and VJs can easily combine sound and visual effects and create captivating shows.
