The DDJ-FLX2 is compatible with several popular DJ applications, including rekordbox and djay as well as Serato DJ Lite. After installing your favorite app on a mobile device and connecting to the controller, you can start DJing right away. If you want to take on the challenge and learn more advanced techniques, use DJ software on a PC/Mac, including Serato DJ Lite.

Each DJ application is compatible with different streaming services, so you can choose the right application and service depending on the music and DJ style you want to play. If you choose djay, you can access Apple Music, choose from over 100 million tracks and incorporate your favorite music into mixes.

Simple mixing with Smart CFX and Smart Fader

Thanks to the DDJ-FLX2's Smart CFX and Smart Fader, it's easy to emulate the seamless mixing of tracks that professional DJs do.

Smart-CFX allows you to imitate complex and dynamic effect techniques with a simple turn of the knob, just like the professionals do. Ideal for linking tracks together and making performances more dynamic by emphasizing the music whenever you want.

Smart-Fader automatically optimizes the control of volume, BPM and bass, which are important when transitioning between tracks. This function makes it easy to mix tracks from different genres, even if they have very different tempos (BPM). Function names and methods may vary depending on the DJ application used.

Lightweight, compact housing with easy-to-use functions

The DDJ-FLX2 is AlphaTheta's lightest and most compact DJ controller, so you can take it with you wherever you want to DJ. It is powered via USB Type-C from a PC/Mac or mobile device and does not require an external power supply. For an easy start to DJing, use the integrated speakers of a PC/Mac/mobile device. If you need more volume, connect the audio outputs of the DDJ-FLX2 to active speakers or an amplifier. This means that nothing stands in the way of loud parties with friends. If you want to improve your skills, you can use the headphones to play tracks and learn different DJ techniques.

Performance pads for professional DJing

With the DDJ-FLX2's performance pads, you can easily change the music. Pad Mode Select is used to select the different modes, including Hot Cue mode, which allows you to set a marker at any point in a track - e.g. the intro or chorus - to jump to that point immediately. For the pad FX, a simple press of the pads is enough to apply a variety of effects and give the music its own touch. The sampler allows you to add sound effects or try out performance techniques such as finger drumming.
