Moving head washers, also called washlights, are the equivalent of conventional Fresnel spotlights and have as their exit lens a Fresnel lens, a particular type of lens that was developed in the 19th century by the French physicist Augustin Jean Fresnel. The speciality of these lenses is that, due to their design, these large plastic lenses have the same refractive effect as thick glass lenses. They are available as converging or diverging lenses.

In addition, washlights have a somewhat blurred beam with softly tapered edges. Washlights tend to illuminate a large area - this is also due to the relatively wide exit angle. Moving heads are usually equipped with LED lamps that can change colour flexibly and continuously. This makes it possible for you to "colour the air" - whereby all colours of the RGB space can be displayed. Washlights are sometimes equipped with a movable lens to allow different exit angles of the light beam.

Colour variety of the special kind!

The special features of washlights are their colour intensity and colour variety, which allow many different, individual colour mixtures. This is made possible by individually controllable COB LEDs. The colour in which a moving head washer illuminates your event is immaterial: with our washlights, you can do this without any problems - regardless of whether you prefer a plain white or something spectacular like pink, purple or a bright red. Special dimming curves also give you the opportunity to achieve light and music synchronisation. Be it rectangles or S-curves - you can also create a variety of smooth transitions with these.
