Blinders
Perfect staging - designed to attract attention
When it comes to highlighting certain moments on a stage, blinders are a popular piece of equipment. As the name suggests, blinders provide controlled lighting. They are supposed to provide "atmospheric" staged light and underline a performance as dramatically as possible. As a result, blinders can be used to cast bright light on specific areas or to bathe large areas in very bright light. This way, blinders create a striking contrast to the lighting composition, which usually appears in darker colours.
Highlight, underline, emphasise
Blinders are used in a variety of ways in theatres and events, e.g. to underline highlights in plays or musical pieces and to draw the audience's attention to specific scenes. Be it for scenic emphasis, underlining certain song lines or displaying a chorus in different colours - blinders are ideal for all these functions. Blinders are also often used in the context of introductions, for example to highlight individual members of an ensemble or band.
A variety of different blinder models
The market for blinders is as diverse as their range of applications. In addition, blinders can be found in various designs, e.g. as matrix blinders, in which many individual LEDs are mounted in several rows above and next to each other. The so-called strip blinders, in which lights are placed in a row on a strip, are also quite common. Not to forget audience blinders, which - like all other models - are provided with powerful LEDs.
Blinders for indoor and outdoor use
In the event sector, blinders are often used in the PAR design. Stage blinders, on the other hand, are frequently used to illuminate large areas of stages. The use of blinders also allows blinding of the audience for a short period of time by brief illumination, e.g. in order to make quick changes on stage.
